Most moms I work with see the connection between their own self-care and the energy and presence they have to give their children, partners, work and other important things and people in their lives. ⠀ ⠀ But there's still a block. Your life is FULL. Chock-a-block with raising children, taking care of the house and all the emotional labour that comes along with motherhood, and possibly working outside the home too. I get it, I really do. My life feels super full, too. You're exhausted and it's hard to find the energy to get to a yoga class or go for a run or cook a healthy meal. I understand. I feel that way sometimes too. ⠀ And...is there something else getting in the way? If you dig deep, is there a feeling of not being worthy of taking the time for yourself? That other people's needs must come before your own? Have you taken on a martyr mentality that is actually getting in the way of being the best woman and mother you can be?⠀
⠀ Take a deep breath. Check in with yourself. Do you feel worthy? And in case there's any doubt, of course mama, you ARE worthy. You are worthy of feeling good. You are worthy of having your needs met. You are worthy of joy, fun, laughter, love, purpose, peace, happiness. And isn't THAT what you want to model to your children?
